The arrogant and war-hungry Thor provokes the anger of his father, Odin. He is ultimately banished to Earth (Midgard) without his powers and his mystical hammer, Mjolnir. On Earth, he learns the meaning of humility after meeting scientist Jane Foster. At the same time, Loki capitalizes on this moment to seize the throne of Asgard.
