The film Robin Hood tells the story of the origins of the legendary master archer, Robin Longstride, following the death of King Richard on the battlefield. Returning to a Nottingham corrupted by the tax oppression of the Sheriff of Nottingham, he disguises himself as a deceased nobleman to fulfill a loyal promise. Together with his lover, Marion, and his band of loyal outlaws, he leads a rebellion to defend the common people.
