Ikkis

In the powerful narrative of “Ikkis,” we journey through the courageous story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of India’s prestigious Param Vir Chakra, who heroically laid down his life during the 1971 Battle of Basantar for the sake of his battalion and nation. This film not only honors his sacrifice but also delves into the deeper themes of war’s senselessness, as seen through the eyes of Khetarpal’s father. Three decades after the partition, he revisits his roots in Sargodha and his old school, now situated in modern-day Pakistan, inviting reflection on the passage of time and the changes it brings.
